The telephone bell rang, breaking the silence in the house.
It was an autumn afternoon, almost winter. Christmas' ornaments were perfectly placed in the streets, each one  located in a strategic location that was the same every year. Few of them begin to fail because they were getting old.
First phone pause.
That afternoon it had rained, the night had arrived early and had not warned. On the street the humidity established a strict dictatorship against which only her smile rebelled. She was was walkind down the sidewalk briskly, taking care not to slip and doing a wonderful juggling act with the bags she was carrying in both hands. The arrival of a message made her movile vibrate; she would look it at home, two minutes and would have arrived .
Second pause phone. The answering machine was impatient to jump.
She thought about all seha had to do and sighed. The steam came out of his mouth joining her sigh, like the chimney of an old train to which is added more carbon. Her smile grew even bigger.
She arrived at the door of his house, went up a couple of stairs that separated her from the door, suported the bags down,  and looked for the key inside of her bag. One turn, two, three, click, door open. She pushed the door with her hip while she collected the bags and sighed one last time to see the steam rise. She heard the phone, it should be about the third pause. She pushed the door with her heel and ran  into the living room to avoid the answering machine to do its work.
-Hello?
-Hi, Mercedes? I'm Elena, from the park-the memory of the park gently hit her mind, she returned to have eleven and scrapped knees, running again trough the street trying not to step on any line, pulled down the slide hugged her friend and blowing again into the cold air to see the smoke- I know we haven't talk for a long time, can't wait to see you- her smile widened even more. She sat on the border of the sofa and cleaned a tear that had began to roll down her cheek. The bags would have to wait.
